Bing Search

Although Windows Phone does have some specialized search interfaces (such as the ones used to search email or call history), pressing the Search button on the majority of the phone’s screens causes the phone to open Bing. To see how a Bing search works, follow these steps:

Conducting a Bing Search

1. Press the Start button. You can actually do a Bing search from almost anywhere, but for the sake of this example, I am using the Start screen to ensure a consistent experience.

2. Press the Search button.

3. The first time you perform a Bing search, you see a screen asking if you want to allow Search to use your location. Tap Allow.

4. Enter your search criteria.
