End on a Positive Note

When you’ve finished the last step in your instructions, end with a brief impression or anecdote to give the story a sense of completion. For recipes, you might just say how irresistible the meal will be. (If you watch cooking shows, the cook always takes a bite of the prepared dish at the end of the show and says, “mmmmm.”)

You might think you are done at this point, but you have one last, important task. When the instructions are complete, you need to test them.
