Body: A nontraditional pose keeping the bride and groom some distance apart can resemble the conceptual nature of the “interpretive” and “foreground/background” poses. Think of distance apart as a way to tell two different stories in one photograph. For this photo, I wanted to create a feeling that both were taking a stroll on the beach, each enjoying their own time with their own thoughts. However, this photo does not tell that story. Here the groom is not walking; he is just standing and waiting while the bride catches up. Their energy is connected to each other; I wanted the energy to be autonomous.
