Perform

The Perform step serves as the starting point for the system. The purpose is to examine your mistakes and weak points because they hold the key to what you must do to improve. To obtain an accurate reading of your performance, you must photograph a job the way you normally would. Don’t change a thing. Location scouting, lens choices, camera choice, natural light, flash, posing the couple, posing groups, technique, and approach should be done exactly as you always do.

Another option is to use a wedding shoot or a job that you have already completed. Choose a job where you have kept every image that you shot. If you categorized the images into folders and selected the best for each category, ignore all those folders. Use only the master folder containing all the photos—in the order that you took them.
