5. Color Elements

WHEN SHOOTING on location, photographers are faced with thousands of objects of all shapes and colors. Primary colors such as red, green, and blue are especially loud in nature, and special attention is required when dealing with them. Whenever any of these colors appear in the background of a photo, they are sure to be a distraction from your subject. To help you tackle this unavoidable issue, this chapter explores two methods: keeping contrasting colors to a minimum, and finding an area where the colors are at least part of the same family.
