Chapter 6 Assignments

We really started to cover some ground in Chapter 6, and these tools will take some practice before you feel comfortable using them. That’s why we have these lessons. Everything we do builds a foundation for better and faster editing down the road. Let’s take a little practice time with these specialized tools before moving on.

Heal and Clone

I’m sure it won’t be too hard to find a few images that have little spots that need healing. Maybe you want to get rid of that freckle that’s been bugging you all these years. No problem. Just open the image, grab the Healing Brush tool, and start clicking. Try painting with small strokes for things like stray hairs. Then give the Clone Stamp tool a try. Just remember to hold the Alt (Option) key and click a source before trying to clone.
