1. Values

Values are shown to be central to the success of P&G and its alumni. They play an important role in the development of the successful leaders and high-achieving performers who once worked at this legendary company. In the web survey, the highest-scoring value among P&G alumni was for “Doing the Right Thing” (77%). This value appears to be at the heart of the P&G culture, and it resonates with alumni at all levels of the organization. Other high-scoring values include “Respect for the Contribution of Others” (66%); “Merit Determined by Performance” (57%); “Sharing Credit for Success” (53%); “Honest Evaluation of Causes of Poor Performance” (53%); and “Concern for the Well-Being of Partners, Customers, and Community” (49%).
