Link Testing

How frustrated are you when you click to find a broken link? Don’t risk your company’s reputation and user satisfaction by allowing broken links to live in your information. Testing your links should be part of your production process. Build a link checking procedure into your process to identify broken links, incorrect links, unnecessary links, or duplicate links.

The best way to understand how your linking is working is to build output of your information often and test the links. As you learn to link in DITA, experiment with the values for the various attributes and build output to see how those settings affect the usability of your content.
