Task Components and DITA Elements

Unlike concept or reference topics, which use <section>, <p>, <table>, and other common elements, task topics include unique elements such as <steps>, <cmd>, <choicetable>, and <prereq> elements to help you structure procedural information.

The challenge is to understand what content to add to these task topic elements and to use these elements consistently. Table 2.1 describes common elements used in task topics.
