1. Hop on the Carousel I don't actually know the origin of the name Carousel, but after using it for a few weeks, I'd have to say it must have been named for the carousel of childhood that was just plain good fun. If you are like me, you may have thousands (tens of thousands?) of photos scattered across multiple computers, laptops, and mobile devices like the iPhone, iPad, or iPad Touch. Putting all those photos in one place and then being able to access them all from any of these devices is truly a blast for the whole family. Adobe® Carousel is designed to be very simple to use, and I think you will find that Adobe did a good job on that front. However, I am writing this eBook to help you get the most out of the application, avoid problems by getting started on the right foot, and help you develop a workflow for getting your photos into and out of Carousel in a manageable fashion. As great as it is to have all your photos stored in one remote location, I strongly urge you to remain in control of all your photos locally, too. These are irreplaceable memories after all, and no one cares about them more than you do. More about this later.
