Didn’t we already do user testing?
Hopefully, you can answer yes to this question, but it does not always happen. Unfortunately, neither does this particular step of testing, which is designated for testing the final, designed and developed site with real users prior to launching.
This allows you to take one final look at the website and find the last-minute bugs and errors that you might have overlooked during QA testing. Once you identify your target set of users, you can test the website against any scenarios that appear to be high risk or that may have had issues in previous iterations of the site. This round of testing can provide you with the information necessary to determine whether or not your site is ready to launch. If there are significant issues uncovered during this round of testing, it may be important to make updates and test again.
