Book Publishing at a Glance

The most efficient way to create a book is to first add photos to an album, and then tell iPhoto to create a book based on that album. Here’s an overview of the process.

Step 1. Create a new album containing the photos you want to publish (page 42). Arrange the photos in approximately the same order that you want them to appear in the book. (You can always change their order later.)

Step 2. Select the album in the Albums list, choose Book from the Create pop-up menu. (You can also choose File > New Book.)

Step 3. Choose a book type and a theme, then click Create. For a summary of the types of books you can order, see the sidebar at right.

Step 5. Click and pay up using your Apple ID.
