Chapter Five. Please Mr. Postman: Getting (and Sending) Email

This is an incredibly important chapter, because email is incredibly important. If it weren’t for the iPhone’s ability to get email, I would have missed an amazing adventure. It all started with a desperate email from a Mr. Mabutuu, who (according to the email) had been a high-ranking government official in the small African nation of Nantango. I soon learned of the overthrow of his small, friendly government through a military coup that nearly cost him his life. He was able to flee to the safety of a small village protected by freedom fighters loyal to his ousted government, but before he fled the capital, he was able to move nearly $16 million of his government’s surplus cash (in U.S. funds) to a small bank in a neighboring country.
