Using the Calculator
When you tap on Calculator in the Utilities folder, it will bring up a basic calculator. This calculator does all the basic functions that you would expect, such as add, subtract, multiply, and divide, and it has a built-in memory function, too. If you want a more sophisticated scientific calculator (with sine, cosine, tangent, logarithm, etc.), just turn your iPhone sideways and you’ll get the Scientific Calculator instead of the basic one. Pretty neat!
iTip: Clearing Calculator Mistakes
If you make a mistake while entering a series of numbers, you don’t have to start over again. Just tap the C key once and that will perform a Clear Entry, and then you can simply re-enter the number. Also, to delete an individual number you typed by mistake, just swipe your finger over the display and the last number you entered will be deleted.
