The big news for Windows 8 Consumer Preview when it comes to file tasks is the new Copy dialog box, which helps you manage large copy operations and resolve conflicts between files that may have the same name.
Some media files are big—really big. And when you copy one or more of those files at the same time, it can require quite a bit of computer processing. Now in Windows 8 you can control how Windows Explorer copies large files, and actually stop the copy if some are gumming up the process.
1. In the Navigation pane, click or tap the folder containing the files you want to copy.
2. Select the files or folders you want to copy.
3. Click or tap the Home tab.
