29. Laura Kelley-Jahn

Laura “Piece” Kelley-Jahn is an accomplished spoken-word artist, slam poetry champion, musician, and community workshop teacher. She keeps diverse company of street youth, activists, and legends alike, and she recently delivered a poem in front of thousands to His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Piece sits at the intersection of hip-hop and pop culture, she has lectured and toured for the past six years, and she’s currently working a second term on the Seattle Arts Commission.
