34. Martin Volken

Martin is a quintessential European mountain man who owns and operates Pro Guiding Service. He guides all over the world, but—calling Seattle his home—works tirelessly to connect the forest service, the outdoor industry, and the conservation industry on their common ground right here in the Northwest. He’s also a product development consultant for K2 and Outdoor Research, as well as an author of multiple guiding books on backcountry skiing.
