5 Characters THERE ARE TWO ways to approach developing a story idea: The first way is to come up with a concept ­ a short five to eight word phrase that sums up the entire idea for a movie. The second way is by creating memorable characters. Think back to the last time you went to see an A movie (see previous chapter).
