Conclusion - Pg. 389

Conclusion The fields of entertainment and show control are evolving quickly, and so I've focused here not on specific gear, but on the concepts underlying the equipment. The two really are insepa- rable, but as long as you learn why you are pressing a button and not just to press it at such and such a time, the knowledge will easily transfer to another system. This is now critical: The only thing I can accurately predict is that you will someday have to learn protocols, standards and techniques not covered in this book. I hope that, with the foun- dation offered here, the learning process will not be too painful--in fact, it should be fun. That's why we're in this crazy business, right? I hope you have enjoyed this book and found it useful. If you have any comments, questions, or corrections (please, no hate mail), I'd like to hear them. Please check my website at: http://www.controlgeek.net You can e-mail me from there, and I have online resources such as a bibliography, and contact information for related control companies and standards-making bodies.
