Chapter 14 The Performance InTroducTIon This chapter examines the typical sequence of events that surround the performance, beginning with pre- show checks, followed by a preset of the technical elements involved in the production. After the final preshow checks, the performance begins. At the con- clusion of the first act, several changes may occur during the intermission. After the conclusion of the performance, meet- ings may occur to exchange and discuss observations made during the show.
