TECHNICAL PATTERNS

While solving the interview scheduling problem, you’re going to implement the following technical patterns:

• Simple approval: One-level approval process that ensures that only properly trained and vetted end users are allowed to create and designate themselves as site owners.
• Run-time security check: This pattern establishes best practices for defining who is allowed to automatically create a site versus those that require IT’s specific approval.
• Custom activities: You create a new custom activity for this solution, following the same development pattern you learned about in the previous chapter.
• Timer jobs: You learn how to create a SharePoint timer job, install it, and configure it.

As always, you will use more than a handful of technical patterns described here.
