The most direct route for upgrading a 32-bit WSS 3.0 server farm to a 64-bit SharePoint Foundation server farm is to use the database-attach method. The process is similar to a database-attach upgrade for a standalone farm, but since there is usually more than one machine in a server farm, there will be a few extra steps involved.
