Diagnose the implications

Diagnosis of the implications of all earlier analysis is central to the uncertainty evaluation process, and to providing support for associated decisions. It is discussed here using the sensitivity diagram portrayal of sources of uncertainty first, starting with the most obvious and straightforward concerns needing early treatment in early passes of the PUMP. Discussion then moves on to the more subtle concerns. To some extent the sequencing of aspects in this section reflects the way focus might evolve over a sequence of passes, but the last aspect addressed may need attention on the first pass.
