About the Authors

Janaka Ekanayake received his BSc Eng Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, in 1990 and his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), UK in 1995. He is presently a Senior Lecturer at Cardiff University, UK. Prior to that he was a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Peradeniya. His main research interests include power electronic applications for power systems, renewable energy generation and its integration.
