Lesson 1: Installation options

Choosing which installation option to deploy is an important consideration when planning the deployment of your servers. Windows Server 2012 includes new capabilities for post-installation conversion between the Server Core and Server With A GUI installation options. The platform also includes a new Minimal Server Interface option that can provide several benefits for some scenarios. And a new capability called Features On Demand allows administrators to completely remove the installation binaries for roles and features that won’t be needed for their servers. This lesson describes these various capabilities and how to perform the conversion task.
