221 Appendix 2 The Staying Alive Foundation Who we are The Staying Alive Foundation is a global HIV/AIDS charity that empowers young people. We give out small sums of money to young people who we believe in ­ who we trust ­ and who we are genuinely inspired by. These young people have one thing in common ­ they're fighting to conquer HIV and AIDS in their local communities in the most creative and innovative ways. To date, the Foundation has raised over $3 million, allowing it to support over 193 grants to 126 organ- izations' projects in 50 countries. We are 100 per cent donor funded
