The EPG Plan: A Roadmap to Transformation and Success 219 To achieve the recommendations in the three primary areas of decision mak- ing, a four-entity model was proposed for enhanced IT governance of the state: Executive Enterprise Governance Board. This board fills one of the gaps in the current governance structure by providing a robust mechanism for ensuring the alignment of IT investments with state plans and priorities. It is also tasked with periodically reviewing the existing gov- ernance procedures and proposing changes if necessary. Information Technology Investment Board. The primary responsibility is to review and make final decisions about state agency IT investment requests, with special attention paid to the identification and deploy- ment of enterprise-level investment and projects.
