Third-Party Billing

As a practice grows, billing becomes more difficult to manage. Some providers choose to outsource their billing operations to a third party, who for a fee will manage the billing process. Practice size notwithstanding, there are many advantages to this approach, including more efficient billing cycles, reduced denials, lower operating costs, and improved reimbursements from the provider.

Typically, providers scan their insurance carrier and diagnosis information and upload (transmit) it to a third party. The third-party biller generates the claim, submits the claim to the payer, tracks the payment, bills the patient, reports, and performs any follow-up necessary to ensure the claim is processed correctly.
