This book is a disappointment. I have chosen many Wrox books in the past, because they are usually of a very high and consistent quality. I'm afraid I cannot state the same here. The quality of writing is very poor and difficult to follow. Examples are not properly explained. Moreover, there are far too many errors, both in the coding examples and in the general text. I feel this book needs a radical revision if it is to meet the standards that one can normally expect from Wrox.

I've tried to persevere with this book, but the typo's make it just too much hard work. Professional jQuery? Maybe the authors are capable of professional work, but the proof-readers at their chosen publisher need to go back to grade school to lurn how too spel.
More than half my time is wasted trying to make the samples work. Commas that should be semicolons, code like $(this).X written as this.X, and even completely missing lines of code need to be found before you'll see the effect of the code. It's hard to believe that the authors actually ran the code before pasting it into the manuscript.
I guess this is just another hastily published Wrox book, written by ponytails too arrogant to actually test their code. I should have looked for an O'Reilly book as I usually do.

Although it contains some typos and small errors (id#div) it covers all topics from basics even the advanced ones.
I expected more complex problems, examples and solutions while it's (just) great reference book to all aspects of jQuery coding.
