Chapter 2: Reporting—The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
Exam Objectives
Measure project performance, identify and quantify variances, and determine appropriate preventive and corrective actions. Communicate status to stakeholders per the communication management plan.
Communicate project status and continue to insure the project is aligned with business needs.
Two exam objectives are relevant to the information in the Report Performance process. The first objective above was also identified for the Control Scope (Book VII, Chapter 2), Control Schedule (Book VII, Chapter 3), and Control Cost (Book VII, Chapter 4) processes. The work performance measurements that result from those processes are inputs to the Report Performance process. In the Report Performance process, the work performance measurements are analyzed to determine the overall project status and create a cohesive project status report.
