Chapter 4: Finding Keywords > Within Your Industry

Within Your Industry

Now that you have taken the time to look within your company, it is time take a step back and broaden your focus a little. If you have been around your industry for some time, you should be familiar with many good keywords already. Your industry is made up of many companies and websites that contain useful keyword choices.

What Is Your Niche?

One way to approach your research is to ask yourself what your place in the industry is, or in other words, what is your niche? You may have already done a competitive analysis and identified your niche.

Once you have determined this, you can mine new keywords based on a set of core keywords related to your niche or specialty. Let’s say you are selling digital cameras. Try inserting this seed term into your keyword suggestion tool.
