2 destructive thinking > THINKING AFFECTS ACTIONS

THINKING AFFECTS ACTIONS

Remember: your thoughts change your actions, then your new actions give you new results. Make the effort to think optimistically and you are far more likely to keep moving toward your goals, even when things get tough. Think destructively and you will be more inclined to give up when the inevitable obstacles arise. It’s obvious, but we often forget it, don’t we?

Many people believe that their thoughts are truth, but in reality they are just the mechanistic actions of the brain: an event happens, and you have a thought about it. It’s not necessarily the truth, it’s your perception of the truth, and it may or may not be accurate. If you habitually perceive events negatively, you can retrain your mind. You don’t have to continue thinking a certain way—with commitment, you can change how you think. You can improve it, uplift it so that your thinking supports you, rather than pulls you down into mediocrity and sadness.
