1. King Whitney Jr., born Whitney M. Young Jr. (July 31, 1921, Lincoln Ridge, Kentucky–March 11, 1971, Lagos, Nigeria), was an articulate US civil rights leader who spearheaded the drive for equal opportunity for blacks in US industry and government service during his 10 years as head of the National Urban League (1961–71), the world's largest social–civil rights organization.

2. Sir Edmund Hillary (July 20, 1919–January 11, 2008) was a New Zealand mountaineer, explorer, and philanthropist. On May 29, 1953, at the age of 33, he and Sherpa mountaineer Tenzing Norgay became the first climbers known to have reached the summit of Mount Everest.

3. The Moody Blues are an English rock band. Among their innovations was a fusion with classical music, most notably in their 1967 album Days of Future Passed. The Moody Blues have sold in excess of 70 million albums worldwide and have been awarded 14 platinum and gold discs. As of 2011, they remain active, with one member from the original band from 1964 and two from the 1967 lineup.
