Chapter 13: Managing Projects > Analysing Project Costs

Analysing Project Costs

Sage has several features that help you to track your projects and analyse your costs and revenues. Tracking and analysing gives you the ability to respond to customer enquiries about the projects.

Looking at the project’s activity

When you’re analysing a project, the first thing you may want to do is look at the Project Activity screen. This screen shows you all the transactions with a specific project reference. You can also filter the transactions by type with the Custom Range button, as explained in the following steps:

1. From Projects, click the Activity tab or select the specific project and click Activity.

The transaction information for the project appears.

If the project you select is a multi-level project, tick the Include Rolled Up Transactions check box to show all the transactions for all the projects linked with the one you’re viewing.
