Sending Invoices and Credit Notes via E-Mail
If you have e-mail already set up on your computer you can e-mail invoices rather than print them.
To set up an e-mail provider:
1. Click Edit⇒Preferences and select Send Forms in the list of icons on the left.
Click the My Preferences tab (see Figure 4-10).
2. Click the Add button to configure a new e-mail client.
In the Add Email Info window, fill in the e-mail settings:
• Enter an Email Id (that’s your login ID)
• Select the Email Provider (for example Yahoo!)
• If you select Gmail, Yahoo!, or Hotmail/Live, QuickBooks configures the SMTP Server details area. If you select Others you need to give the Server Name, Port Number, and whether SSL (encryption) applies. (If you need help with this please contact your e-mail service provider.)
