Chapter 6: Quality Theme > The Quality Review Technique

The Quality Review Technique

The quality review technique is a way of checking the compliance of a product with its Product Description. It is primarily designed to assess products that take the form of a document or something similar, such as a presentation. However, it could be used for any type of appropriate product.

The quality review technique entails three steps:

Step 1—Preparation First, a chair is appointed, who will run the quality review technique process. A presenter is then appointed, who will represent the producer of the product under review. The presenter sends the product and its Product Description to a number of reviewers, who will perform a quality check on the product to see whether it complies with its Product Description. If the reviewers spot any small grammatical or typing errors, they can write directly on the document. If the reviewers spot any larger errors, they start creating a question list for the presenter. An administrator is also appointed to help out with . . . guess what . . . administration!
