Exercise 10 Exploring Avid FX > Using Containers

Using Containers

You have made containers for the two sets of images, and this will make it easier to swap the order so that one appears on top of the other. We will come to that in a moment; first you can deal with the perspective and vertical positioning. It is much easier when you have a container, because you can deal with both images at once.

1. Perspective needs no animation. Click the CAMERA tab for the container transformations (you are now affecting both of the images inside the container) and set the DISTANCE to 2000. (This is going to affect the perspective.)

2. The Y position needs to animate from the default to slightly lower down in the frame. Go to the first frame and, in the PICTURE RIGHT SIDE container (the yellow bird), set POSITION Y to DECELERATE and 360.
