Safari Books Online is a digital library providing on-demand subscription access to thousands of learning resources.
Now let’s look at some effects in more detail to give you an idea of how the controls work. There are obviously too many to list all of them, so I have chosen a few of my favorites to start you off. This will give you a feel for how to get the best from the controls. You’ve loaded a glow, so let’s look at that first.
If the Sapphire S_Glow effect is not already applied to the clip in the Timeline, do so now. (Refer to the section “Exploring a Sapphire Plug-in” earlier in this lesson for help.) If you have made some adjustments when going through the previous section, then click the Reset All button at the bottom of the Effect Editor.
The controls tend to work from the top down, with the most significant controls at the top of the list and the ones you’ll use less often farther down. If you see a little triangle to the left of a setting, you can click it to open extra parameter controls. So the Color setting, for example—which is white by default—can be changed to something of your choice.
