Tricks with Source Material

ProShow provides a variety of tools to create impressive output. It is important to understand that as powerful as these features are, the core purpose of ProShow is to present audiovisual information, not to edit it. Features that manipulate or enhance the source material are only a convenience and are not intended to replace a separate photo editor.

Think of slide show software as the last stop before actual output is created. You can produce a much wider assortment of effects if you use external image and video tools to enhance your source material before you use it with ProShow.

Many of the techniques suggested in this chapter involve doing something outside of ProShow to enhance or create source material before using it in ProShow. This gives you even more ways to create impressive results.
