Exercise 1.4: Understanding Subclips

Subclips point to the same media files as the master clip from which the subclips were created. You’ll confirm that in this exercise.

To better see how subclips work:

1. Open LESSON 1 > LESSON 1.

2. Load the yellow clip, called I AM A MASTER CLIP, into the Source monitor.

3. Mark a range in the clip and create a subclip called I AM A SUBCLIP.

4. Reveal the source media of the master clip and that of the source.

How do the media files differ for the subclip in comparison to the master clip?
