Exercise 12.2: Setting a Sequence’s Format

The offline sequence was cut in a standard definition (SD) project. Sequences and clips created in a project inherit the project’s settings, which means the sequence still has an SD format despite being in the new HD online project.

To prepare the sequence for online editing by changing the format:

1. Duplicate the HK0209 OFFLINE LOCKED sequence in the SEQUENCES – OFFLINE bin.

2. Create a SEQUENCES - ONLINE bin.

3. Move the duplicated sequence into the new SEQUENCES - ONLINE bin and rename it HK0209 ONLINE.

4. Select HK0209 ONLINE and choose CLIP > MODIFY.

The MODIFY dialog box opens, as shown in Figure EX12.2.

5. Choose SET FORMAT from the modification type pop-up menu.
