In this exercise, you will link to a video recorded using an iPhone. iPhones have unusual recording properties, because their aspect ratio correlates to the shape of the phone—tall and thin, or wide and narrow, depending on whether the device is in portrait or landscape orientation.

As mobile phones and DSLR cameras evolve to record video, you’ll more frequently encounter scenarios where you need to incorporate footage from an iPhone, and then need to position it next to footage from a high-end format like HDCAM SR.

1. Open PICTURE AND SOUND > LESSON 2.

2. Select FILE > AMA LINK TO FILE.

3. Navigate to your STUDENT MATERIALS > LESSON 2 folder.

4. Select TAKEOFFYHZ_A330.MOV.
