Safari Books Online is a digital library providing on-demand subscription access to thousands of learning resources.
The Media tool provides a window to the contents of the media drive. It’s easily organized, sorted, and filtered, like a bin, but it’s also easily limited to specific projects or the contents of specific drives. The Media tool doesn’t show subclips or sequences, because they exist only within the bins, and not at the media level.
You can use the Media tool to view, delete, or modify the available media files or specific tracks contained in the media file.
Caution: The Media tool will not work in an Interplay environment with shared storage, nor will it work for AMA-Linked media.
An important distinction between the Media tool and a bin is that the Media tool only displays actual media. The clips in a bin appear regardless of the media being online, whereas the content of the Media tool appears only if the media is online. If it’s not on the media drive, it’s not in the Media tool.
