The Score Editor’s Project Settings

When you open the Score project settings, you are presented with an impressive and perhaps daunting set of choices that are specific to the current project. See Figure 16.6.

The manual uses 22 pages to explain the Score Project Settings options, so refer to the manual for more in-depth information. Here I will highlight some of those I deem most important. Every long-time score user has his own favorite settings. Trial and error (hopefully not while you are doing paying work) is the only real way to make your decisions. Be aware that, while these settings are not global to Logic Pro, they are global to all score sets in the project. Make sure to choose View > Page View > Print View for this tutorial, as these settings are primarily about how things look on a printed page. See Figure 16.7.
