About the Author

Frank D. Cook works as an independent consultant, trainer, and course developer for the Avid Learning Partner Program. His company, Insource Writing Solutions, has partnered with Avid Technology, Inc. for more than six years to develop certification courses in Pro Tools, ICON integrated console systems, and VENUE live sound systems.

Frank is a bass guitarist, a longtime Pro Tools user, and an Avid Master Instructor. Frank has worked in the technical publications and education industries for more than 15 years. As a writer, editor, technical publications manager, and business owner, Frank has authored and contributed to hundreds of guides, manuals, reports, and other publications for clients in a wide variety of industries. His writing and consulting company, Insource Writing Solutions, specializes in documentation for the digital audio industry. His new venture, NextPoint Training, focuses on advanced training in Pro Tools, VENUE, digital media, and related products and technologies.
