I wish to thank my wife and kids for putting up with my long work hours, the staff at Avid and Digidesign who have afforded me endless opportunities to learn Pro Tools in depth and who have tirelessly answered my many questions, my fellow Pro Tools instructors who have inspired me and provided invaluable input, and all of the industry professionals that I have had the good fortune to interact with and learn from.

I must also acknowledge the authors of the previous books in the Pro Tools Power! series—Colin MacQueen, Steve Albanese, and Christopher R. Burns—whose excellent work is the foundation upon which this book is built. This latest edition is truly a mere update to the detailed and comprehensive coverage they have provided for earlier versions covering Pro Tools 5, 6, 7, and 8.
