37 Note-Taking by Computer This example shows notes taken on a laptop. When taking notes on a computer, you can use a format similar to the two previous ones. Notice that this student has kept the formatting simple. Using fancy fonts or formats only wastes time. You can, however, take advantage of electronic features, such as underlining, bold, and highlighting, if you're comfortable using them quickly during a lecture. You can also set up organized folders and documents for each subject.
