10.4. Roles in Action: Notifications, Moderation, and Workflow

For administrators and editors, publishing posts and pages is simple: write the content, press Publish. For authors, it's a little more complicated. Since they are not allowed to publish their own posts, they must submit them for review, as shown in Figure 10-7. Editors and administrators will then see the pending posts on the Posts Edit screen, as shown in Figure 10-8. They will not get an e-mail notification unless you add a plugin, as you'll see in the next section.
