This chapter introduced the incredibly powerful and flexible jQuery UI library, which is packed full of features to help streamline your application. We also looked at some of the third-party plug-ins available.

You’ll find great community support for jQuery plug-ins. It seems that they’re all in competition with each other to create the best and funkiest solution. If you think someone else has encountered the problem you’re facing, then you can bet your bottom dollar there is a plug-in out there waiting for your attention.

The next chapter explores creating your own plug-in. If it’s a good one (I am sure it will be), then maybe you can release it into the wild for others to enjoy, too!
