Hosting Your Own NuGet Server

In Parts 1 and 2 of this book, we have introduced you to package management with NuGet. By now, you know everything you need to know to get started with NuGet and consume or produce packages. In Chapter 4, we demonstrated how you can easily publish those packages onto any NuGet server.

Based on this knowledge, we will now start with the fun part! So far, we have mainly been targeting the official NuGet Gallery. The public NuGet feed is aimed at the distribution of open source libraries and components. We really want to encourage you all to share your cool projects and contribute to those projects and libraries you really enjoy! Contributing is a wonderful learning experience, and before you know it, you will be able to call yourself an active member of the community.
